What a ball! This was our most exciting and fun Ball to date. We were fed like kings by Kitchen Chicks Catering and danced all night long to the music of The Don Campbell Band. It was hard to choose between Tina Foster’s line dancing instruction, riding the mechanical bull or playing Texas Hold ‘em at the Birdcage Casino, so guests just did it all! A touching slide show by Joanne Lee and Beverly Lister started off the Funding Frenzy, which raised over $9,000 in five minutes.

Grand Raffle Prize Winner
The Goat Island Lighthouse Getaway winner was J.D. Maloney. He and his wife, Jane (one of our fabulous Equest volunteers) will be taking a beautiful early fall weekend to enjoy a unique lighthouse stay, compliments of The Kennebunkport Conservation Trust, The Wayfarer Restaurant, The Nonantum Resort, and boat services provided by John Martin’s Pineapple Ketch and Rugosa. Our fundraising goal for this raffle prize was $5,000 and thanks to the hundreds of friends who supported Equest through your purchase of raffle tickets, we raised $7,900!

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Cowboy Ball exceeded our fundraising goal of $50,000. Thanks to all our wonderful donors, sponsors, raffle ticket purchasers and attendees, we raised over $57,000 to benefit Equest’s programs!

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of Equest’s friends and supporters for making our 10th Anniversary Cowboy Ball such a huge success.
